The Louisiana Driving Test assesses your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow state driving
laws under real road conditions. During this behind-the-wheel exam, a licensed examiner will evaluate
your skills in areas such as proper lane usage, stopping and starting, turning, parallel parking, backing up,
using signals, and obeying traffic signs and signals. You'll also be judged on overall vehicle control,
awareness of surroundings, and ability to follow instructions calmly and confidently.
