SECTION A: WRITING THE INTRODUCTION

Write an introduction of approximately 5 sentences (150-200 words) in which you
reflect on a book that you have read and explain how it has impacted your life.

Reading can open new doors to understanding ourselves and the world around
us. One book that truly changed the way I see life is Man’s Search for Meaning by
Viktor E. Frankl. I chose this book because I wanted to learn how people can find
hope even in the darkest times. What intrigued me most was Frankl’s story of
surviving the concentration camps during World War II and how he discovered
that meaning in life helps people endure suffering. His ideas about finding
purpose, even when life feels very hard, made me think deeply about my own
challenges and goals. This book has impacted my life by teaching me that no
matter what happens, we can always choose how we respond, and through that
choice, find strength and hope (Frankl, 2006, p. 85). It inspired me to look for
meaning in small everyday moments and to appreciate life more fully.

One of the most significant lessons from Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning
is his belief that even in the worst suffering, people can find a purpose that helps
them survive. Frankl’s experience in Nazi concentration camps showed how those
who found meaning, no matter how small, were more likely to survive than those
