WEEK 6 DATABASE EXERCISE
Week 6 Database Exercise
Task 1
A useful theory for preserving the quality of data is functional dependency, which explains the
relationship between attributes in relational databases. One attribute's dependence on another
attribute is specified. For instance, the CarVin# is the primary key or aunique key used to
identify vehicles in the table above. The determinant that can be linked to a manufacturer, year of
manufacture, and price is the CarVin#. As a result, the CarVin# determines the Manufacturer,
Year, and Sale Price. Another illustration would be the CustID, which is another factor that
determines customer information. The CustID determines the lname, fname, StAddr, City, and
DOB. The following is the functional dependent analysis:
CarVin# Year, Manufacturer, and SalePrice
CustID lname, fname, StAddr, City, and D
Task 2
As previously mentioned in task 1, the CarVin# is the main key for the table above since
it provides details about the car that was sold to the customer. The vehicle's manufacturer, year,
and sale price are the specifications. The CustID, which provides information about the customer
