An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a line of numbers that could be called a home address
within computer networks, ensuring the correct information is sent to the right location. It is a go
between for online devices to send and retrieve any information available online. If there is an
error within the sending or retrieving IP address then the data will not be found, like a piece of
mail being sent back to the post office. IP addresses have four parts called octets that are
separated by dots, with the values ranging from 0-200’s. Some addresses serve a special purpose
like Broadcast Addresses. Broadcast Addresses are used to transmit information to all devices
connected to the network that the Network Administrators have access to. This would be like
sending an Amber Alert to all devices connected to the network. Everyone would get it, but it
