As of 2022, the CDC reported that over 70 million adults in the
United States have a disability, representing more than one in s
four adults. r
Only one in three (34.9%) individuals with disabilities are
employed compared to 76% of those without disabilities.
An estimated 17.4 million adults with disabilities, or 32.9%,
experience higher levels of mental distress, which is defined as
having 14 or more days of poor mental health within the past
