Personal Area Network
A Personal Area Network (Pan) Is A Small Network That Can Connect To Other Devices
Located Within The User's Working Environment. Pan Is Used To Transfer Data To
Devices Such As Smart Phones, Computers, Tablets, Personal Digital Assistants, Etc.
These Devices Need To Be Close To The Work Area Of The Device Where The Data Is
Being Transferred. Pan Can Be Used To Connect To A Higher-Level Network And The
Internet, With The Device Acting As A Gateway. Pan Can Be Used In A Wide Range Of
Applications, Which Include Communication With Personal Devices Such As A Headset,
Smartphone, Or Wireless Printer. These Devices Have Bluetooth Features Built In, So
They Can Connect Wirelessly Without The Use Of A Wired Usb Cable. Another Use Of
Pan Is Data Sharing, Which Takes Place Using A Smartphone, Laptop, Or Other
Personal Devices. One Other Way Pan Is Used Is For Entertainment, Where You Would
Want To Link A Gaming Console To A Tv Or Even Connect A Portable Music Player To
Your Headphones. One More Way That Pan Is Used Is Home Automation, Where Pan
Can Automate A Home Device Such As A Thermostat To Your Smartphone Or Have A
Smart Doorbell Connect To Your Phone.

Local Area Network
Local Area Network (Lan) Is A Computer Network That Connects Devices Within A
Limited Physical Area, Like Schools, Homes, Campuses, Office Buildings, Etc. Lans Are
Owned By A Single Organisation And Only Maintained By Them. There Are Many Ways
That Lans Are Used. One Example Is That Lans Make Resource Sharing Easier Among
Users, Enabling Them To Share Files, Printers, And Scanners, Among Other Resources.
The Other Way That Lan Is Used Is By Communicating With Other Users Through
Exchange Messages, For Instance, Email, Instant Messaging, And File Sharing With
Others. Internet Access Can Be Provided To Users Via Lans. In Addition, Users Play
Multiplayer Games Using The Internet Access From The Lan.
