2. Mixtures—variable composition; no chemical reaction; separated
easily w/ out chemical reaction
a. Homogenous—visibly indistinguishable parts; solution (Example:
salt water; gasoline)
i. Distillation to separate
ii. filtration
b. Heterogenous—visibly distinguishable parts; not the same; see
individual components (example: jelly beans; soil)
