Additional authorized duties of an RDH:
Ans: - Determine which x-rays to perform on a pt. who has not
received a CompEx for the DDS to see what the specific problem is.

- Place protective restorations (sealants) which for this purpose are
identified as interim therapeutic restorations (temp filling). An interim
therapeutic restoration consists of the REMOVAL OF SOFT MATERIAL
FROM THE TOOTH USING ONLY HAND INSTRUMENTATION! ( interim
therapeutic restorations can only be completed of a program that
includes training in performing those functions.
