Master permanent cosmetic tattooer - ANSWER-Any person who for compensation
practices permanent cosmetic tattooing known in the industry as advanced permanent
cosmetic tattooing including but not limited to cheek blush, eye shadow, breast and scar
repigmentation or camouflage.

cosmetic tattooing is offered or
practiced for compensation
permanent cosmetic tattooer - ANSWER-means any person who for compensation
practices permanent cosmetic
tattooing known in the industry as basic permanent cosmetic tattooing including but not
limited to
eyebrows, eyeliners, lip coloring, lip liners, or full lips
permanent cosmetic tattooing instructor - ANSWER-means a person who has been
certified by the board who
meets the competency standards of the board as an instructor of permanent cosmetic
tattooing
reinstatement - ANSWER-having a license restored to effectiveness after expiration
date has passed
renewal - ANSWER-continuing the effectiveness of a license for another period of time-
have 30 days after expiration to renew- after that have to reinstate
sterilization area - ANSWER-means a separate room or area separate from
workstations with restricted client
access in which tattooing instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized
in order to receive a license: - ANSWER-must not have been convicted of misdemeanor
or felony directly related to profession of tattoo
- certified copy of final order needs to be forwarded to board within 10 days after all
appeal rights have expired
must have completed three years of documented work experience within preceding five
years as a tattooer and complete minimum of five hours of health education (bbp, first
aid, cpr, etc)
