1. By the end of the course, the students
will be able to apply the principles of
medical sociology and anthropology in
day to day delivery of health services to
all clients from different works of life.

2. Discuss the socialization process and its relevance to
health and illness
3. Describe Culture and its effect on health and Illness
4. Explain social change and its effects on health
5. Discuss Social stratification and mobility and its effects

6. Describe social institutions and their significance in
Health care delivery
7. Describe social pathology
, Sociology is a combination of two words.
The 1st ( Latin)- socius- that mean society, association,
togetherness or companionship.
The 2nd word, logos (Greek) literaly means to speak
about or word but generally means study or science.
