- In this appointment, you and your assigned DS staff member will engage in an
interactive process to discuss needs and identify reasonable accommodations.
This collaboration continues throughout your time at the University. Registration for
services is not complete until you meet with your assigned DS staff member.
- Reasonable testing accommodations are determined based on students’
documented disability needs and individual needs. Testing accommodations may
include extended time, lower-distraction testing environment, use of a computer,
assistive technology, and/or software.
- In some instances, faculty may provide detailed notes, such as power points and
outlines. In such cases, a note taker may not be secured. Notes may also not be
required for lab or online courses. Note takers are not provided for 100% online courses
- Career Coaching is available to degree-seeking* students (including post-docs) an
alumni who have a degree from UNC Charlotte, from as soon as you're admitted to the
University, through your time on-campus, continuing through graduation and beyond.

● Gaining experience through internships, co-ops or volunteering
● Finding a job or planning for further education
● Practice Interviews
