Topic 6 Discussion Question 1

Is it important to share the rules of your classroom with families? Discuss how you might
accomplish this in your future classroom.

Good afternoon Professor Hensley and Classmates,

Personally, I feel that is important for the teacher to share the rules with the families. One-way
teachers can share their rules is by sending a letter home. If the teacher expects the student to
follow the rules, then sending a letter home with the rules in it can greatly hep. This gives the
parents the opportunity to review them with their students. This can also encourage the student to
student to stay consistent at school as well as at home. I feel that when there is a positive
relationship between the families and the teacher it creates a supportive environment, that can all

classroom I plan to send the rules home the first day of school with a letter to the parent to
discuss them with their student. I will give my students tiger tickets if they can memorize at least
one of the rules. If they can remember more then they will receive more tickets.

mean not wearing muscle shirts or basketball shorts. I do feel that a well-managed classroom can
