Learning System RN 3.0 Gerontology Final Quiz Guidelines
Purpose
Learning System provides practice in content-specific areas, which allows students to identify their strengths and focus
efforts on their areas of need.
Course outcomes: This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
CO 3: Demonstrate effective therapeutic communication and relationship skills in family centered nursing care to
adults with complex health needs. (PO 3).
CO 4: Demonstrate effective clinical decision making based on critical thinking skills and legal, ethical, and professional
standards and principles when caring for patients and families with complex adult health needs. (POs 4 and 6).
CO 5: Implement a plan of care for continued personal, professional, and educational development related to
nursing practice with complex adult health situations. (PO 5).
CO 6: Practice competently in professional nursing roles with complex adult health patients under supervision of
faculty and/or designated staff nurse. (PO 7).
Due date: Your faculty member will inform you when this assignment is due. The Late Assignment Policy applies to
this assignment.
Total points possible: 50 points
Preparing the assignment
Access the ATI website and log into your ATI account and go to “Learning Systems RN 3.0”, and select the “Gerontology:
Final”
Actual points earned will be based on the highest percentage earned of two attempts. (Please note there will be a 24-
hour lockout between attempts)
• You may retake the final quiz, after a 24 hour lock out between attempts.
• If an 80% is not achieved by the second attempt, three critical points based on feedback that addresses the
areas of weakness from the final quiz must be submitted for consideration of 10% increase in points
earned. (For example, if you achieved 76% (76 x 0.5 = 38 points) on the second attempt, completed three
critical points that were satisfactory received, your score would increase to 43 points (38 x 0.1 = 3.8 + 38 =
41.8 points)
Please note that your instructor may provide you with additional assessments in any form to determine that you fully
understand the concepts learned in the review module.
