exceed 3 days and are never billed through the insurance until the remainder is filled. Violations included
are, but are not limited to: Fines, Termination, Jail time.



Define Medicaid- What are the protocols when handling this insurance? - ANSWERSMedicaid: A state
funded program in which patients receive their medication at little to no out of pocket cost. All
prescriptions billed to Medicaid in NJ must be for legitimate and medical purposes.



Medicare Part B covers - ANSWERSDME and Diabetic supplies. SOME asthma medication.

Schedule II Medication - What type is this? Federal/State laws? How is this handled in the pharmacy?
How is this ordered? - ANSWERS-Narcotic medications i.e. Percocet, Vicodin, Adderall. Only valid for 30
days from the date the script was written, unless the doctor states the prescription is to be filled on or
after a specific date. Can only be counted by the pharmacist on duty. Must be kept in a locked/secure
safe. Ordered via a DEA 222 form.
