The scope of this review focuses on comparing literature from different regions,
particularly global, continental (Africa), and local (South Africa) sources. The
review will explore how different contexts address the challenge of discipline in
schools, and the effectiveness of these approaches. The main research questions
are: What are the main causes and effects of discipline problems in schools? How
do different regions address disciplinary issues? What strategies are most
effective in promoting positive discipline?
