What is the main function of the Comment Tool?

The Comment Tool allows you to jot down notes, explain processes and share
external references.
What are the formatting options offered by the Comment Tool?
You can add color to the comment box, as well as adding annotations to make clear
what processes are being transformed as you move along your workflow.
You can also modify the shape of the box, the colour and alignment of the text, and
add images.
You can also push the comment box to the back by right-clicking > Send to Back.
What is the main function of the Tool Container tool?
Compartmentalize workflows, adding the ability to turn off or hide functional
areas.
Much like with the Comment Tool, you can add annotation text, change the shape,
colour, alignment, and include images.
To modify the name of the container just double-click the header.
How can you add tool containers to existing tools with ease?
By highlighting or selecting the tools with Ctrl + Left Click, then use Right Click
-> Add to New Container.

Through Alteryx Community > Alteryx Use Cases > Submit a Use Case.
What's the Workflow Dependency window and where is it located?
You can use the Workflow Dependencies window to manage input and output
paths and data specifications in a workflow from a single location.
You can edit paths to prepare your workflows to be shared and deployed across
your organization.
With a workflow open click on Options > Advanced Options > Workflow
Dependencies.
What are the options for editing a path in the Workflows Dependencies window?
- All relative: changes all file dependencies to a relative path.
- All absolute: changes all file dependencies to an absolute path.
- All UNC: changes all file dependencies to a Uniform Naming Convention; all
mapped drives are renamed to a network resource.
What's the Runtime tab located on the Workflow Configuration window and what
are the settings that can be adjusted?
The Runtime tab includes settings that apply when the workflow is run:
- Dedicated Sort/Join Memory Usage: minimum amount of memory the engine will
use to perform sort and join operations.
- Temporary Files: displays the path where temporary files used in a workflow
processing are saved.
, - Limit Conversion Errors: set the maximum number of conversion errors reported
for each tool in a workflow.
- Record Limit for All Inputs: type the maximum number of records in any input.
- Cancel Running Workflow on Error: select to stop a workflow from running after
an error is reported.
- Disable All Browse Tools: select to disable all Browse Tools in a workflow, as
well as the results window for all tools. Disabled tools appear grayed-out in the
canvas.
- Show All Macro Messages: select to report messages for all tools used in a macro
workflow.
- Disable All Tools that Write Output: select to disable any tool in a workflow that
produces an output. When selected, the disabled output tool appears gray in the
workflow, cannot be configured, and will not output data.
- Enable Performance Profiling: select to receive information about the
performance of tools in a workflow.
