The day-to-day duty of every man and woman in the Department of the Navy is to join
together as a team to improve the quality of our work, our people, and ourselves.
2. Explain the Navy's Policy on Alcohol use. - Answer-If you are underage you must say
NO to alcohol use. If you are of age and choose to drink, you must use good judgement
and drink responsibly.
2. Explain the Navy's Drug Policy. - Answer-Alcohol abuse or illegal or improper use of
drugs during your enlistment could result in possible administrative separation with a
less than honorable discharge and loss of veteran benefits. Zero tolerance means zero
tolerance.
2. Explain the Navy's Sexual Harassment Policy. - Answer-It violates standards of
behavior required of all Department of the Navy personnel. Sexual harassment is
unacceptable conduct.
3. Explain fraternization. (While in DEP and Boot camp) - Answer-Boot Camp - New
recruits, once they arrive at RTC, will not be allowed to talk or socialize between the
sexes. Any recruit that breaks this rule may be set back two weeks in training.
