1. Osuagwu identifies four factors which he argues characterize Africanity
in African Philosophy. Discuss these four factors identified by Osuagwu
and m argue whether these factors are unique to African Philosophy when
compared to other philosophies. [50 marks]

In his exploration of the Africanity of African philosophy, Ndubuisi Osuagwu
identifies four factors that he argues characterise this philosophy. These factors
are:

1. Ethno-African: This factor identifies an African author or authors by
origin or nature, by birth, ancestry, tribe, physiology, colour, and culture.

2. Geo-temporal African: This factor qualifies the African space and time
within which African philosophy is typically occurring.
