How often? Cost? An individual's license can be renewed biennially (every 2 years). The individual's registration renewal cost is $125.00; initial registration shall not require such fee. A funeral firm's initial registration fee is $400.00 for the period ending with the current biennial registration period and the biennial registration fee thereafter is $300.00. How many hours of Continuing Education must a funeral director take each biennium? Each biennium a funeral director must take 6 hours of continuing education by the conclusion of the biennium, thereafter 12 hours each successive biennium. If the owner is an individual, they must be a duly licensed funeral direct or undertaker; if a partnership, all partners shall be duly licensed funeral director or undertakers; if the owner is a corporation, or is a partnership organized and registered with the department and having unlicensed partners or is the legal representative of a deceased funeral director or undertaker, the manage registered with the department shall be a duly licensed funeral director or undertaker If a funeral firm is sold or ownership is transferred, who must notify the consumer who has money held in trust?
