Sovereignty is an state or governments right of governing power over itself without outside actors. Power the ability to achieve goals and influence others. Power can be used to acquire material goods. For example, a state can use its power to persuade a state to reform its governance model. Interdependence A relationship between countries in which they rely on one another for resources, goods, or services Legitimacy is the right and acceptance of authority, in most cases it is a government or regime. Military Power Military power is closely linked to hard power, mainly because countries with military power usually use hard power. Military power is a country that has a focus on military strength, such as advanced weapons and technology. Economic Power countries with large economies have greater economic power, such as Germany or Japan. Both have large economies, however in both cases Germany and Japan have a strong focus on their economies rather than military. States use their economic power has a form of hard power. Relational Power when a state has a relationship with another state and uses that relationship to influence the state to change behavior. Globalization the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide. Globalization has grown more rapidly due to more access to trade and different cultures. Structural Power when states influence the political ideas, structural ideas, and frameworks of global politics.
