control. They are allowed to treat trees and ornamental plants for termites, specifically
Formosan termites, with the Texas SPCS in the termite control category.


4). Integrated pest management (ipm)

 Ans: A comprehensive approach to pest management that uses cultural, physical,
biological and chemical control methods in a careful and environmentally sound manner.


5). Pest identification

 Ans: Proper identification of a pest is key to controlling pest. (Most important aspect of
pest management)


6). Natural factors

 Ans: Climate, population development and dynamics, natural barriers and enemies,
availability of shelter and food and water supplies all influence pest population. (May
cause population to increase or decrease without human influence)
