Two Party System vs Partisan Dealignment - SATORI-'uk is a clear example of a 2 party system SAM BEER-no point in measuring party cohesion Tribal politics (strong identification with party- 50% 1960) Also in Westminster (party whips etc..) BUT.. Partisan Dealignment 20% in 2000s strongly identify with party Recent Dec 2019 election; L lost 11% to C Inter-changeable between 'opposition' parties Satori point still remains, yes lack of loyalty to one or another party; but big 2 still dominate 2017 82% of vote share
