Position head. Clear airway as necessary. Dry skin. Stimulate baby to breathe. Reposition head. You evaluate the effect of Block A and find newborn is not breathing (apnea or gasping) and/or has HR <100 bpm. What do you do? - ANSWERPPV SP02 monitoring You evaluate the effect of Block A and find HR >100 bpm but newborn is breathing with difficulty (laboured) and/or has cyanosis. What do you do? - ANSWERClear airway. SPO2 monitoring Consider CPAP
