Purpose of closing a project
The purpose of the process is to:
- Provide a fixed point at which acceptance of the project product is confirmed
- Recognise that objec ves set out (or approved changes) have been achieved
- Close the project in an orderly way where there is cause for a premature close

- Acceptance confirmed
o This could involve referring to the acceptance criteria or gaining acceptance directly
from the customer
