I had my students clear off their desks to eliminate distractions, sit at their desks, and face the SMART board. I stood in the front of the room and explained to my students that our task today was to create a flipchart in their math notebooks that would help them remember how to multiply multiplication doubles and patterns. I then asked my students what they remembered about doubles and multiplication patterns. Once our whole group discussion was completed, I pulled up an example of the task on the SMART board. I showed the students each step that they would need to complete and how to do it. I directed the students to take out their math notebooks, a pencil, scissors, and a glue stick. I passed out the assignment once the students had the supplies needed for the task. I instructed the students to work together on this task or independently. After the students began the assignment, I walked around the classroom and assisted the students with the completion of the task. Feelings: Describe how you felt before, during, and after the presentation and how you think the audience members felt during the presentation. Before I started my instruction, I felt calm and prepared. I knew I had all the supplies needed for the students to succeed.
