There are different types of promotion that Sky uses, this include advertisement promotion, sales
promotion, personal selling, direct marketing and sponsorship. In order for Sky to achieve its aims an
objective, Sky integrates promotion with the marketing mix which includes price, place, product,
people, processes and physical presence.
Advertising promotion
The picture above shows an advertising promotion where in which Sky uses poster and this source of
promotion shows that it has integrated with the marketing mix. For example, this source of
advertising promotion has been integrated with product because the poster shows the product
itself, the broadband box is shown to the customer in order for customer to know more about the
product and how it looks like. It also shows the features of the product where it states that the box is
in HD. This source of advertising promotion is integrated with place which is shown in the bottom
left corner, it shows the link to the website making it easier for customers to know where to buy the
product from, this allows customer to gain information about the product and allowing Sky to reach
their aim to increase their revenue. Moreover, Sky integrates advertising promotion with processes,
the advertisement promotion on the right shows that Sky provides their customers with free Sky HD
box and Sky installation which helps Sky reach its aims and objectives of reaching out to more
customers.
