A Division of the Greater Richmond Food Pantry3Assessed how the organization was able to provide a large array of food items to the underserved members of the community. How they partner with local farmers to provide fresh fruits and vegetables and partner with local grocery stores to expand what they can provide to the underserved residents in the community. The food bank incorporates both donations and USDA for those who qualify. Persons not qualifying for USDA also have a robust amount of
food items offered to supplement nutritional needs.

Most clients were senior citizen on Social Security. Most receiving less than $1500.00/mo. Unable to pay housing, medications and purchase food. Proof of residence and income is provided approximately every 6 months. Information is also obtained regarding number of persons in household. If qualify for USDA, information is given to team packing USDA items.
