studies. In this case study, we will be examining the impact that diet and
exercise might have on his heart and overall health.



Today is a follow-up visit. Fred has received information concerning his
weight and his diet. As the nurse, you check his vitals and his blood
pressure.



Blood pressure: 160/90



1. Using the blood pressure chart published by the American
Heart Association, would Fred’s blood pressure be considered in
the normal range or high? (1 pt)

You are concerned that Fred may have a condition called atrial
fibrillation (A Fib) in addition to his high blood pressure. Explain

A normal BP is considered a systolic pressure of less than 120, and
diastolic pressure of less than 80.

Therefore, your BP is high, and it also shows that you have stage two
hypertension.

I will explained to Fred my concerned of Atrial Fibrillation or( A Fib),
which causes irregular heat rhythm that can lead to blood clots, which
he might have in addition to his hypertension diagnosis.
