Assisted Living Facility - A facility that is operated and regulated as a residential

digital stool removal, and the applying and changing of routine dressings that do not
require packing or irrigation but are abrasions, skin tears, and closed surgical wounds.

Specialty Licenses - ECC, LNS, LMH

LMH - Limited Mental Health

Limited Mental Health License - Must be obtained by a facility that serves one or more
mental health residents.

Mental Health Resident - An individual who receives social security disability income
(SSDI) due to a mental disorder or supplemental security income (SSI) due to a mental
disorder, and receives optional state supplementation (OSS).

Community Living Support Plan - Includes supports, services, special resident needs
necessary for the Mental Health resident to live in ALF.

ALF Business Records - Must identify, summarize, and classify funds received and expenses
disbursed and shall use written accounting procedures and a recognized accounting
system.

Personnel Records - Must contain, at a minimum, documentation of background screening,
if applicable, documentation of compliance with all training requirements of this part or
applicable rule, and a copy of all licenses or certification held by each staff who performs
services for which licensure or certification is required under this part or rule.

Aging in place - The process of providing increased or adjusted services to a person to
compensate for the physical or mental decline that may occur with the aging process while
permitting them to remain in a familiar, residential environment for as long as possible.

Chemical Restraint - A pharmacologic drug that physically limits, restricts an individual of
movement and is used for discipline or convenience and not required for the treatment of
medical symptoms.

Cooperative Agreement - A written statement that must specify directions for accessing
