NURS 480 Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing: Promoting Wellness in the Critically Ill SPI VR- 6T SPI 2022 Section VR-6T 01/24/2022 to 04/03/2022 Modified 01/25/2022 Meeting Times Class Length: 10 weeks For every 1 hour in a theory class, it is expected that students complete 2–3 hours of study in preparation for class. For this course, it is expected that a minimum of 10–15 hours of study outside of class is completed each week. Analyze pathophysiological and pharmacological concepts to identify key problems and to prioritize care for clients who have complex health care needs. 2. Evaluate assessment data using critical/clinical reasoning skills to make clinical judgments for clients who have complex multi- system health care needs. 3. Apply integrated client care technologies, information systems, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and communication devices, to facilitate interprofessional collaboration to advocate for the client’s health care needs. 4. Evaluate the pharmacologic, nutritional, developmental, and teaching needs of the critically ill client with alterations in health. Program Learning Outcomes
