Summary NR 632 Week 6 Assignment Completion and Lessons Learned Full Essay 2022
5. Describe two to three examples of things that went wrong on this project. - I have to say there was not much that went wrong with the project. Initially it was a bit tough because as I was not able to be on campus I had to facilitate everything through virtual platforms. It began to get easier as the time passed. Another issue that I encountered was being able to gather those individuals who would be part of the project, but once I gave value to the project I was able to keep their attention and interest a little bit easier. Finally, I had set a plan to accomplish tasks in a timely manner and that always didn’t happen the way that I had planned it and things had to get pushed back and rescheduled. 6. Describe the areas that could be improved. - There is always room for improvement when it comes to project management. It was a concern of mine, as an infection control nurse, that hand hygiene wasn’t much of a concern, and isn’t much of a concern in a majority of facilities until educational data is provided to be able to show the correlation of hand hygiene to HAI’s and how it affects patient safety. Addressing potential issues before they actually become a problem is definitely an area that can be improved (Wromley, 2018). 7. Based on your experience with this project, what will you do differently on your next project? - I don’t think I would really do anything differently other than try to accomplish the tasks in a timelier manner and make sure that the deadlines are met so that I have more time to be able to commit to the project change and training more individuals. Ideally, I would like to be able to collect more hand hygiene observations to be able to implement more to the change.
