Die volgende menseregte is van toepassing op die werkplek:

 Gelykheid
 Vryheid van spraak en uitdrukking

 Veiligheid, veiligheid en beskerming van die lewe


Maniere waarop ondernemings bogenoemde menseregte in die werkplek
kan hanteer
Privaatheid
 Ondernemings mag nie die regte van werknemers en kliënte skend nie.
 Hulle moenie iemand anders persoonlike inligting oor werknemers verskaf nie.
 Inligting oor werknemers wat hul MIV / vigs-status / chroniese siektes bekendgemaak het,
moet vertroulik gehou word.
 Dit is onwettig om e-posse van ander mense te lees / gesprekke op te neem, tensy dit
duidelik en vooraf gesê word.


Waardigheid
 Ondernemings moet alle werknemers met waardigheid / respek hanteer, ongeag hul sosio-
ekonomiese status.
 Hulle moenie werkers dwing om verleentheid of vernederende werk te doen nie.


Gelykheid
 Gelyke betaling vir werk van gelyke waarde
 Bestuurders moet toesien dat geen werknemer ly as gevolg van diskriminasie nie.
 Ondernemings moet gelyke geleenthede bied teenoor hul werknemers op grond van
geslag / ras / godsdiens / seksuele oriëntasie, ens.
 Hulle moet toepaslike wetgewing billik op alle vlakke toepas.



Vryheid van spraak en uitdrukking
 Ondernemings moet oop kommunikasiekanale tussen bestuur en werknemers moontlik
maak.
 Daar moet nie teen 'n werknemer gestraf / gediskrimineer word vir die uitspraak van hul
mening nie
 Hulle moet werknemers 'n platform gee om hul griewe te berokken sonder enige
viktimisasie.


Inligting
 Werknemers moet ingelig / bygewerk word namate nuwe inligting beskikbaar raak.
