SPC 1608 Speech FS 2 Distinction Level Assignment .
The Speaking Process There are three types of speeches. Narrative: Recounting a story with a point. Persuasive: to convince. Informative: To give unbiased information and data. In order to craft an appropriate and successful speech, it is clear that certain specific guidelines or rules must be followed to achieve optimal results. This is what is known as the “Speaking Process”. And it begins even before the actual act of speaking. To select a topic a potential speaker must brainstorm ideas for speech topics through several ways before writing out an outline. These activities may include research, reading, viewing videos, jotting down notes, reflecting on personal experiences, or others. After the subject is chosen one must take into account their purpose by simply asking “Why am I presenting this?” Afterwards, one should always take their audience into account before the thesis. Possible audiences are instrumental, obviously, as they will be the ones ingesting the information. Think about who the audience is and how their attitude will be towards your topic and positions. Additionally, one must relate to the audience. This is vital so that the audience actually cares about the topic, attempt to give them something to associate with. Afterwards one may create their thesis
