How would you feel about using methods of transport instead of walking around
Colchester Zoo?
- People generally thought it would be a good idea
- Helps people who are disabled and may not enjoy the Zoo as much
- Should adapt the Zoo to this idea, add different lanes for people; children,
teenagers, adults
- Segway’s
- Saves time and effort
- People would have to attend a Health & Safety session before hand
- Should have family deals if a family wants to hire out 4 or more methods of
transport
What do you think the drawbacks of using a method of transport around the Zoo would
be?
- If loads of people are attending the Zoo at the same time, it may be busy and
crowded especially with bulky transport materials
- Dodging people
- Health & Safety risks
- Have to ensure everyone is wearing a helmet
- Crashes
- Overtaking may cause accidents
- People asked if it would be a one-way system or not
- Would have to make sure people are of the correct age and know what they are
getting themselves into
