Outcome
- Athlete: RTP in the shortest possible time = goal focus
- Coach (and many athletes) = performance focus
- Clinician: prevention of new (or recurring) associated injuries = outcome focus
Context
Type of injury or illness, athlete’s age, type of sport played, physical demands of the sport, level of
participation, significance of upcoming participation opportunities and social and financial costs.
