Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to you to express my concern of carbon emissions and carbon footprint and the
effect it has on the local community and what I think could be done to minimize the concerns of
this issue.
If you are unaware of what carbon emissions and carbon footprints then it is the gradual increase
in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally caused by an increase in global
warming let out by factory’s and different types of transport.
We feel that Primark can deal with this by minimizing factory production this way it will
minimize the amount of carbon emissions released into the earth's atmosphere, and by fitting as
much stock into one vehicle as possible this way it will reduce the amount of trips made which
will decrease pollution. There are many solutions you could come up with to minimize these
concerns such using less factories, if so no factory’s at all in producing Primark’s goods and
transporting as many goods in one go to reduce the amount of trips made to get all stock to a
specific place or store. This way it will have the least impact on the environment.
Lastly, I would like to come up with good recommendations to support carbon emissions and
global warming, by reducing the carbon footprint of the business, through sourcing more locally
grown cotton for clothing reducing the levels of packaging which are used and also reducing the
amount of transportation which is required to distribute products through greater logistical
support.
I hope you listened to my advice and take necessary actions to reduce the ethical concerns.
