A EN MISC Discussion 2.1 Knowledge Development in Nursing.
My understanding of Kuhn's work and how it compares to Hegel's work Thomas Kuhn is mostly known for introducing the terms ‘paradigm' and 'paradigm shift,' which translates to the shared vision and a revolution, respectively. I understand Kuhn as one of the theorists who are interested in explaining how things happen and probably how one can foretell futuristic events and prepare for them in advance. The concept of paradigm shift helps illustrate how newer aspects in one instance replaced the older ones depending on time and progress in time[ CITATION Spr18 l 1033 ]. Kuhn's contribution to idealism differs from Hegel's point of view as the latter believes that an argumentative way influences human progression and history. Hegel proposed three aspects that help in developing and supporting an argument, including a thesis, antithesis, and synthesis[ CITATION The17 l 1033 ]. Irrespective of the difference in concepts, Hegel and Kuhn, have similar approaches to understand progress in science.
