Making sure that I have a management plan in place at the closing of my practicum is very important because this can be used to pass on to the next individual who will head the project and the project scope. A new project manager would need to be organized, committed, and well-rounded and educated on the topic of the project change. These top qualities and attributes would also contribute to successful completion of the project. Nonetheless, I would need to make sure that the individual knows the importance of hand hygiene and is personable with individuals so they are able to also educate and pass on the appropriate education. I have built educational materials such as PowerPoints, checklists, and competency exams to be sure that there is successful completion of the project change. After all, according to Kristensen, Nymann, Konradsen (2016), rise in the amount of research results available does not automatically translate into improved patient care, satisfaction, and change. Multiple legs need to be in place to ensure proper completion, and the above are just the top indicators to be sure to have successful completion of the project when handing it off to another staff member.
