Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) are an essential part of the United States healthcare system. APRNs are essential care providers and play an important role in providing preventive care services to the public. APRNs play an important role in shaping the nursing profession to respond to our changing health care system. Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an APRN with higher standard of education and expert medical skills in various settings, such as; primary care, acute, and long-term care to deliver safe and quality health care to diverse populations. NPs are educated and trained at the master’s or post master’s level in a specific role and patient population, and once they get extensive training they work independently or under the supervision of a physician. NPs provide individuals, families, and groups with nursing and medical services. Educating and counseling are major components of the activities of the Nurse Practitioner. NPs have the responsibility to provide health
