After World War II in the 1960s, a radicalized Mexican-American Movement began pushing for equal rights and freedom same as the white people. The Chicano Movement began fighting for social justice and civil rights while preserving their heritage and identity as Latinos. Puerto Rican Movement began in the late 1960s to combat US colonialism and domination of the island and the segregation and discrimination suffered by Puerto Ricans on the mainland (Foley, 2017). This paper analyses both movements' objectives, the similarities, and how women in each movement incorporated Feminism.
