Search entries or author Filter replies by unread Reply Reply to Main Discussion Collapse Subdiscussion Theresa Stenmark Theresa Stenmark Sunday Dec 10 at 11:49pm One of the most important aspects that I took out of my professional interview is that we must advocate as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to those we care for and all our healthcare professionals that we work along-side daily of what we are capable of practicing and what are able to do as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. We must advocate working at our scope of practice to provide the necessary care, to fill the gaps and to produce an increased quality of care within our communities in which we serve (ANA, 2017). We must do this by being aware of our practice authority and understanding ways that we practice within our scope of practice. I plan to incorporate this information into my practice by knowing who my states authority is and by reviewing my scope of practice and following them. I plan to incorporate this into my practice by understanding where I fit into the healthcare team. I want to be an effective part of the healthcare team that provides care within her scope of practice that ensures increased safety, well-being, health promotion and disease prevention for all communities and patients in which I care for (ANA, 2017).
