- Feminism says this division has no basis in fact- is the product of male power



EMPIRICIST FEMINISM

- Associated with thinkers such as Milman and Kanter
- Scientific methods are important (although mostly devised by men)
- Positivist traditions have achieved a lot in terms of discovering
- These methods have however, been produced in a male dominates complex
- Women excluded from participating in these scientific debates
- Accused of looking at the world from the heart not the head
This idea is seen as simply a sign of male prejudice – stereotypical view of women
