The Olympics
This is a Sport’s event where millions of people around the world tune in and support
their countries over a variety of different sports like for example Badminton and
Swimming and this event is held every 4 years. The Olympics official symbol is a
combination of 5 different coloured rings all linked together to symbolize all the
athletes united together from across the world participating for their country and it
represents all the continents around the world. The main purpose of this event is to
unite the world through sport to show respect and the act of fair play.
The aims and objectives of the Olympics is to educate the youth through sport
without any discrimination committed to show their respect for every country
participating. There are multiple constraints from holding the Olympics as the costs
would be enormous and the country may get into debt which means that taxes may
rise in that city. Also, the time would be a time constraint as it may take a couple of
years in order to build the stadium and is only used for a short period amount of time.
The budgets for the Olympics would very costly as an Event organiser they have to
take in account the cost of building the stadium and are planned 7 to 11 years in
advance which shows the significance of the event. The reason for the success of
the Olympics could be that it could be a new experience for locals and increase the
number of tourists in that city which can boost the economy of the country.
Additionally, the common success factors for the Olympics would be to ensure that
all stadiums are built ready for the event so this doesn’t cause any delays for people
who have already booked tickets to the event. Furthermore, another success factor
would be to ensure that all athletes taking part in the Olympics have accommodation
due to the fact that this will be people from all over the world participating and
making sure that sponsorships are being made. Additionally, having the stadium built
and ready would allow for a smoother and efficient event as well as having a lot of
time to carry out preparations ready for the Olympics. Planning a large scale event
like this will allow contingency plans and risk assessments to be implemented if
required.
Premier League
This is a recreational event specifically for football and is played by the 20 best
football clubs in the country. The purpose of this event is to be able to place the most
competitive football games and to watch world class players compete to win the
Premier League through broadcast companies such as BT and Sky Sports to allow
them for more attraction of the sport. The aims and objectives of this event is to put
on intense football games to enable the football clubs to be promoted or relegated
into a lower league as well as keeping the fans of the clubs enjoying the games. The
constraints of the Premier League could be due to COVID football fans will not be
able to attend these games which means that the football clubs will have to deal with
a huge loss of money as fans cannot purchase tickets and less people will purchase
