The role of an event organiser(Eo) is responsible for managing, planning and
organising an event from beginning to end. Skills that are required for an Eo
would be organisational skills and attention to detail to understand what the
client wants to achieve. Good negotiation skills are needed so that the Eo
can find the best price from venues, suppliers and contractors. Also, an Eo
would need time management and problem-solving skills to be able to work
while under pressure to ensure that the event is run smoothly without any
problems.

A venue is the location of the event you’re organizing and where it is taking
place. The venue is important to the Eo because this is where the event
is taking place as they need to find out whether the venue will fit the amount
of people that are attending the event like for example if 100 people are
attending an wedding they need to make sure the venue situates a 100
