Training in Human Resource Management
Introduction
Training is a central human resource management practice
that underscores the value of employee development. While staff training is not a mandatory
requirement, it demonstrates the organization’s commitment to quality production to surpass
market expectations as part of a company's unique positioning strategy. Also, it is estimated that
close to 95% of enterprises that have excelled in their niche have a solid commitment to
workforce training (Cook, 2018, p 12). Other than enhancing the company's market appeal for
quality service delivery, it is believed that it enhances employee retention by elevating a
futuristic approach to career advancement. This study summarizes the concept of training in the
contemporary HRM environment based on three article journals from Asia Pacific Journal of
Human Resource, the International Human Resource Journal, and the Human
Resource
Management Review-Journal. The articles that have been evaluated include Human Resource
Management and Open Innovation, Putting Human Resource Management into Practice, and
Human Resource Management Research and Practice.

assert that employee training has metamorphosed into an indispensable HRM practice due to
