that established goals are attained, that the communication process not defective and complete,
and that transacted message is appropriately received and applied. Effective communication
provides all involved parties with the opportunity to exchange ideas, data, and present innovative
views (Boissy et al., 2016). The approach taken for this assessment is to examine the tenets of
communication, complete a personality and personal leadership style analysis with established
tools namely the Blake and Mouton Managerial Grid and The Jung Typology Test respectively
and how this can be applied/ implemented in scenarios where advanced communication is vital.
This paper assesses previously held communication practices and integrates the newly
uncovered leadership style and personality profile per the Blake and Mouton Managerial Grid
and The Jung Typology Test. The assessment examines writer’s identified leadership and
personality styles per questionnaire, creates an integrated personal leadership profile through
reflective practice on areas such as negotiation and conflict, and identifies how those
aforementioned areas connect to the revealed styles. The evaluation also assesses communication
techniques that are applied and how those were enhanced to accomplish certain outcomes such as
effective communication despite the encountered barriers. The summary underscores the main
notions presented, self-discoveries about how leaders communicate in certain scenarios, and to
solidify or support the position taken regarding enhanced communication in leadership.
