BUSINESS 102-Organizational Behavior Case Study, Bonnie Bell Factory ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR CASE STUDY 2 Organizational Behavior Case Study, Bonnie Bell Factory Questions and Answers 1. How do the facts, in this case, align with research on age in the chapter? The facts in the case study presented here align with the research on the age of the employees within an organization in the chapter due to various reasons including the fact that older workers are among the fastest segments of the workforce within a firm. Therefore, it makes a great sense to ensure they are included in the company, such as Bonnie Bell to offer services that other young employees are capable of providing for the organization's operations. Again, the older workers have a high degree of productivity because compared to their young counterparts, they have meager absenteeism rates as well as turnover which are both supported by various studies carried out on the older employees (Judge and Robbins, 2017). Moreover, older workers have numerous advantages within the organizations they work for because they have multiple numbers of positive qualities such as judgment, experience in addition to a positive work ethic besides a commitment to quality within the firms they work for in addition to holding good relationships which minimizes conflicts at the place of work. Another advantage of having older workers within an organization is because of their job skills and hard work which happens to have undergone development within many decades (Judge and Robbins, 2017). Such is essential because the older workers possess talents that the young generations are not capable of understanding. The employers who have a history of managing multigenerational workforce are therefore capable of utilizing the depth of knowledge that these workers have in mentoring the new and young entrants in the firm. 2. Is this factory engaging in reverse age-discrimination?
