, A. Purpose of Corporate Social Responsibility



The function of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is to cultivate a corporation’s vision

of economic, social, and environmental influences. It also represents the culture of a corporation

and how it focuses on its community and society. Though CSR may involve distinctive entities

for alike and unalike companies, it typically comes after their standard responsibilities and

regulations to do something above and beyond, that also contributes to the overall impact of the

companies’ earnings. Businesses that have the means and monetary methods to contribute to the

community in which they reside, should do so through their CSR platform. Confirming that they

acknowledge their obligation and influence by contributing to their community, which helps to

facilitate their standing within the vicinity of operation. As it correlates to CSR, primary

stakeholders that are predominantly affected by the corporation and its business practices are the

customers, shareholders, workforce, and financial organizations. Secondly, stakeholders who are

impacted by an organization indirectly would include the community, schools, and political

parties. The primary stakeholders for Paradigm Toys would be the customers and shareholders.

The media and schools would represent the secondary stakeholders.

Paradigm Toys should look at ways to give back to the customers and the community,

especially to the children, who the company should consider as their number one advocate. As

their primary advocate, the children, will consider Paradigm Toys as a business that displays

concern and consideration for the youth in the community. A good example of this concern

might be to become a benefactor for a wing of the children’s hospital by money or toy donations

on a regular basis, by sponsoring a sports team, or building a playground or donating children’s

handicapped, playground equipment. Parents will keep on spending money on toys for their
