1. Introduction
This section positions the e-portfolio along the student’s academic and professional
development in the subject of nursing. It includes the Leadership Skills and Mindset Reflection,
which encompasses self-awareness, growth area, and leadership evolution. It is a personal
beginning point for the student to engage with central nursing competencies and leadership
challenges across the BSNU curriculum and provide the tone and background for ongoing,
reflective, evidence based professional development.
2. Ethically Competent Practice
This section stresses the essence of moral integrity and ethical conduct in nursing
practice. This contains a key D218 artifact and reflection pertaining to ethical decision making,
confidentiality, and patient advocacy. Using the model of critical thinking and principled action,
the student provides the resolution of an ethical dilemma in the context of personal values
aligning with professional codes of ethics. In this section, there is a commitment to acting
rightly, even in complicated clinical situations, and a commitment to protecting human dignity
and the rights of the patient.
3. Scholarship
This evidence of the student's work with evidence-based practice, academic inquiry and
critical thinking is noted in this section. It can include research papers, literature reviews, and
scholarly presentations related to clinical relevance and intellectual curiosity, that test the ability
to think analytically at depth. If scholarship is the pursuit of lifelong learning and an endeavour
to disseminate knowledge in nursing, then the qualifying statement is about the importance and
