The Khelo India Programme is a nationwide initiative launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and
Sports to revive the sports culture in India at the grassroots level. The primary objective is to identify
sporting talent among school and college students and nurture them through scientifically designed
training programs. Fitness testing is an integral part of this program to assess and improve the physical
fitness levels of students across the country.
